Our Journey Through Time

Every great hotel has a story, and ours isn't your typical one.

2018 - The Vision

Started with a wild idea over coffee at 2am. Vancouver needed a place where business travelers could actually unwind after dark without feeling like they're sneaking around. The whole concept came from those late-night conversations about what luxury really means these days.

2019 - Finding Our Home

Stumbled upon this gem on West Georgia. The building had good bones but needed serious love. Spent months convincing the city that yes, we really did want a rooftop lounge that stays open past midnight. Worth every bureaucratic headache.

2020 - The Pivot Year

Yeah, that year. Construction delays, pandemic hits, plans got thrown out the window. But honestly? It gave us time to rethink everything. Added the wellness facilities, upgraded the tech in every room, made sure our ventilation was top-notch. Silver linings and all that.

2021 - Grand Opening

October 15th, we finally opened our doors. Started small - just 30 rooms and the rooftop. The first guest was actually a DJ who stayed for three weeks while playing shows around the city. Set the vibe perfectly.

2022 - Expanding Horizons

Added the spa facilities and executive meeting spaces. Turns out people want to mix work with that nightlife energy. Who knew wellness and late-night vibes could coexist? We did, apparently.

2023 - Community Roots

Launched our local experience tours. We're not just about what happens inside these walls anymore. Got partnerships with the coolest spots in Vancouver - from underground jazz clubs to sunrise kayaking sessions.

2024 - Recognition

Got some awards we're pretty proud of. Best Urban Boutique in Western Canada, Top Rooftop Experience, that kind of stuff. But honestly, the best recognition is seeing guests come back and bring their friends.

2025 - Today & Tomorrow

We're still evolving, still learning what our guests want. Currently working on some sustainability initiatives and planning to host more local artists on the rooftop. The story's far from over.

The Person Behind the Dream

I'm Elena Marchetti, and yeah, I started this whole thing. People always ask what made me think Vancouver needed another boutique hotel. Truth is, it didn't need another cookie-cutter place with the same amenities list and corporate feel.

I spent 15 years in hospitality - worked everything from front desk at major chains to managing luxury properties in Europe. The whole time, I kept noticing this gap. Business travelers who were interesting people, creative types who could afford nice digs but wanted something with personality, locals looking for a staycation that didn't feel stuffy. Nobody was really serving them.

So I figured, why not build the hotel I'd want to stay at? Somewhere you can have a proper business meeting at 3pm and then head to the rooftop for craft cocktails at 11pm without changing hotels or feeling out of place. A spot where the concierge actually knows the underground music scene and can get you into that speakeasy nobody's supposed to know about.

What We're Actually About

Look, we're not trying to be everything to everyone. We're deliberately designed for people who want luxury without the stuffiness. The kind of place where you can show up in jeans and still feel welcomed, but if you want to dress up for a night out, we've got that vibe too.

Our team isn't your typical hotel staff either. We've got musicians, artists, night owls who actually know this city. The concierge desk? That's where magic happens. They're not just booking restaurant reservations - they're connecting you with Vancouver's real heartbeat.

The name Noctaryn Verse came from this idea that night has its own language, its own poetry. We wanted something that sounded a bit mysterious, a little romantic, definitely memorable. Plus it looks great on a rooftop sign at 2am.

Our Philosophy

Night isn't the end of the day, it's another beginning. We designed everything around this idea that energy doesn't stop at sunset.

Luxury is personal, not pretentious. High-end doesn't mean high-maintenance. We're fancy when we need to be, chill when that's what you want.

Community over competition. We partner with local spots, support Vancouver artists, and believe that lifting others up makes everyone's experience better.

Looking Forward

We're constantly tweaking things based on what guests tell us they want. Recently added more plant-based options in the lounge because people kept asking. Working on making the whole property carbon-neutral by 2026. Small steps, but they matter.

The goal isn't to become some massive chain. We like being boutique, being able to know our regulars by name, keeping that personal touch. If we grow, it'll be slow and intentional. Quality over quantity, always.

Come stay with us, grab a drink on the rooftop, let us show you around Vancouver. That's what we're here for.
